Meg and Tristan meet for their first date (of many) at American Ice in their neighborhood in DC. They realized after first connecting on Hinge that they lived one block away from each other. They went on a few dates but life's distractions got in the way and Meg moved to NY for a new job -- but little did they know an invisible string was keeping them together...

Fast-forward a few years, our lovebirds were reunited when Meg moved back to DC during Covid. After reconnecting over texts, she went to Tristan's house for his monthly virtual whiskey club. After a few whiskey drinks, the two were left wondering why they ever separated

They took their first vacation together that summer to the Pacific Coast, starting in San Fran, driving down through Big Sur and ending up in LA. You could say things were starting to get serious.

The real love story was actually developing between Tristan and Nike, who have become thick as thieves and brothers for life. They enjoy their boys nights when Meg is out of town, eating junk food, watching sports and discussing world affairs.

Tristan finally convinces Meg & Nike to move in with him. They fall in love with a house in Mt Pleasant, which turns out to be a special community of neighbors and friends. Nike refused to help move boxes.

The combined fam spent Thanksgiving 2023 together in Cville. It has been so special to bring two amazing families together over the years -- The McAndrew Pianta's + The Cayo Cotters (say that 3 times fast!). We are lucky to have contingents in the DMV area (Meg, Tristan, Judith, Michael, Sammi, Tony, Mia) and in Charlottesville (Ann, Bob, Kira, Joey, Jack and Theo) with VIPs in NYC (Brianna) and SF (Laura and Tim)!

During what seemed to be a normal stroll through Rock Creek Park on a Friday after work turned into an engagement for the history books! Nike approved.
